The Amtrol systems will not work. Customer has an undersized water service and has volume issues with needing to meet 25 gpm for 30 minutes at peak usage.

They used 2/1 glue to do it..

 

We use Meyers/pentair. They are a pretty good system, they have a bracket that allows you to mount the pump on top of the tank so it uses less room. Make sure there is a dual check after the meter to avoid the system from pushing the water back incase there was ever reverse pressure issues.

 

Would aquamark sell direct to you ? They told me list price would be $5,000 and I would have to buy from distributer....

That $5,000 does not include the 120 gallon break tank I'll need...

I don't see any reason why he would need a 120 gallon tank to provide 25-30 gpm. 5000 dollars is way over priced, thats what I pay for a system in a commercial environment.

 

He doesn't have pressure issues its volume issues... He has a 1" water service when his load calls for 1-1/2"

His pressure is fine until too many people shower... He does not want a new water service. The 120 gallon break tank is to correct the volume issues... The pump to pressurize it to the house

Some moron posted the other day about wanting a 4" flushing floor drain.

 

Bell and gosset has a nice unit that works of of a transducer to drive the vfd motor on the pump and it comes with the tank all on the skid.

 

I do alot of well stuff and have found nothing beats a goulds pump. I get all my pump and storage stuff from D&S well supply. They are based out of NY but have a warehouse here in RI. They have designed constant pressure drive systems for me as well as storage systems either underground or basement storage up to 5000 gallon. We have run into alot of Wells in our service area that have turned to salt from being to close to the ocean and there designs have worked well for me.

Build your own, you don't need to buy a packaged skid system. I do a ton of systems like this, PM me if you want some help on a design.

What pressure/flow do you have coming to the building and what pressure/flow are you looking to achieve?

Goulds Aquaboost is a nice pressure boosting system that works good with flooded suction, the drive is a basic drive pre wired to the pump- it's. Nice quality basic setup with competitive pricing. If you need something more most pump manufactures have drive companies build their drives- Goulds uses Danfoss for the larger stuff. Yaskawa drives are nice and can be used with any pump (any electric motor) but can be a little tricky with the programming if you e never used one.
