Saw this on the counter at the supply house the other day. What a joke.

Liquilock

Oatey Liquilock was specially formulated to eliminate spills and leaks during toilet repair and bathroom remodeling. The non-toxic quick-gel formula solidifies water in minutes and is easily flushed through the plumbing system after repairs are completed. One .6oz package is enough to solidify a typical 1.6 gallon toilet.

I see that working very nicely on some of the older toilets...

Especially the ones that flush with better than 3.5 gallons....
I like how he lifted the toilet buy pulling from the tank and not lifting up on the bowl. Now he may need to change those tank to bowl washers too
Waste of time. Would be good for pranks :whistling2:

where do they find the money and time to
produce things like this anyway??? You would think that they
would ask some plumbers their opinions before they
would market something like this........

strictly for do it yourselfers that are afraid

Does baby diaper come to mind.
I had a guy in my office trying to sell me some of this not to long ago, and he poured it in a cup of water. It looked EXACTLY like the stuff in a diaper:eek:. My guess is that some entrepreneur tried to flush a diaper and saw that the water got sucked up when we tossed it in. Can't blame them for trying but i am not paying $4 per use for something that will not make the job go any quicker
