You should mount a fake lock bracket and a lock on it…….see how long it takes to get cut off. 🤣
Might as well mount several, slow them down with a few Red Herrings!

Somone should make a lock that blows out pepper spray if it’s cut. 🤣. Probably be a liability.

Or Yiu could design a system if the door is opened without disabling the pepper spray would trigger it…..still would probably be a liability. Boobie trap is illegal. Fun to think about tho. I hate a thief.

Just have the hole already dug……

They do. There's also one called the "SkunkLock", same idea but smelly.

I got tired of using tool bags and started to use this packout setup I made myself. Always organized and easy to tell if I am missing a tool before packing up. It's the basic set that goes in on all jobs and does like 95% of all work. The messy box is most of my specialty tools that i dont use too much so I don't want to bring them in and just grab the tool I need from the box on the van. This exact setup has served me well for 3 years now. Even use it to stand on when I need an extra inch or two. View attachment 137322 View attachment 137323

Oh please, it's not like I'm freaky organized. It's just about the only nicely organized thing in my van. You should see the mess I have in the back.

I like the setup but it seems bulky and as if the cases add unnecessary weight.

Of the guys who I work with who use packouts, it’s usually the wheeled box with power tools and a medium box with hand tools. Both cases a mess filled to the top and need Tetris skills to close.

That's a little much even for my OCD ass. Haha

Make sure your tools are completely dry or I bet they'll rust all to hell with a quickness in that foam.

Just spray them with some WD40 from time to time. Take the foam out and lay a cotton rag down then put the foam back. The rag will hold the oil and keep everything coated perfectly for quite a while. I have a nylon toolbag with plastic bottom that I have done this with, works great. I keep all my specialty tools in it such as big basin wrench, smart dumbell, spud wrenches, drill bit box, tile bits, etc.

For multibit screw drivers stick a half cotton ball in the handle and add oil. Put just a touch of cotton in the actual bit holder with oil.

Here's my bag. An Estwing tool backpack. poly bottom so it's water/sewage/oil proof.

Zippers broke so I attached nylon straps and buckles. Quick to open and close.
I saw another backpack that is more rigid and stays open so I added Luan side supports.
Plenty of duck tape in certain areas
I think this bag will last another year .

I try to keep the weight down so only tools I use every day.
