For commercial, we use the old bucket boss. They work really well for what we do.

For residential service, I use (and yes, I’m going to take some schit for this) this crapsman box:

Craftsman 26 in. Professional Tool Box 1800 cu in Black/Red - Ace Hardware

I like the plastic box. I absolutely destroy them though. The latches get broken the top doesn’t close well anymore. I go through about one per year. It’s just in the budget that they are a long-ish term expendable.

The biggest issue for me, with messed up elbows is that I carry an 18” pipe wrench. I kind of have to.

I have a series of bags for other tasks, I have a soldering bag with that stuff in it, when I was running a sewer machine, I had a drain cleaning tool bag, I have one with some lead and oakum with, yarning and caulking irons, etc., pro press.

But my main box is that craftsman. I don’t love it. But it works really well for me.

You have to contact Craftsman directly now for warranty claims.

I see their power tools as a Ryobi competitor as the price points are similar. Decent for homeowners and weekend warriors. Maybe some pros like the crews that assemble and install office furniture?
I don’t know about the warranty on their power tools. My father in law has a cordless drill that is a turd. It’s heavy, has no power, the chuck is funky. I won’t use it unless I’m stuck at his house and unexpectedly wind up fixing something; I wound up fixing the pull out on their kitchen sink faucet one time in a tuxedo. I think they regard me as the guy who fixes stuff and nothing more.

If you read the fine print, the warranty on their toolboxes is effectively null. I went after them about one of their toolboxes once but they weaseled their way out of it.

I’d really love to go with a different box. But this one meets my needs really well. It’s just also a turd.

It seems like a lot of you guys like to go with bags. I wouldn’t be so opposed to them, except for I have found that when I have tools poking out of the side pockets or even the top, makes it easy for me to catch the tools on something and possibly scrape or break something. This is not ideal for me. I think someone mentioned that above. This probably also serves to out myself as a little bit of a doofus. But I know what my limits are, and I don’t want to break stuff inside of peoples houses. Hence the plastic box with a color other than black on the bottom.
