Seems like everything is getting lighter.
Cast iron to PVC maybe PVC to some kind of carbon fiber molding pipe
No more flushing toilets? Maybe all electric burn the waste to ash. There goes all the toilet auger calls. Will copper be replaced by something else.
What do you predict?
should be fun to see what you guys come up with.

One of the trade publications had an article a few mos. back suggesting human waste should not be treated, but put to use as fertilizer. Maybe instead of paying a sewer bill, they will pay you!

100 years from now - All pipe will be clear and so easy that HO's can change it at will. :whistling2:

Push-fit drainage systems for sure, VOC's will be outlawed completely.

No soldering anymore, will be that damn copper bonding agent that actually works.

"Master Plumbers" won't exist anymore because the trade will diminish to the value of "just another contractor" in the trades. <<< Count on that coming, it really is.

Am I the only one who remembers the article? It was in one of the trade publications w/in the last 6 mos. If memory serves me correctly, it was the very last page. It referred back to early plumbing in London and how what we flush represents our society. It referred to what made it into the sewer from the streets. The blood, stench. Everything evil from society ends up in the sewer. The article or commentary was very dark. Human waste had a purpose - fertilizer was a guess. The purpose, I have no idea. But the article was real.
