Does the Virginia exam have isometric drawings? Does anyone know of a web-site that will help me grasp these a little better?

Will Plumb, wish I could help, I did take the VA test. I did not have to get the journeymans as I was grandfathered in, but I still had to take the masters. When I took mine it was done by DPOR, but now they have an outside company who does the testing. Been many years ago for me.

Have you tried to contact DPOR?

If iso's are in the test, i hope they dont count for 30% of it like they do in FL.

I found the easiest way to teach apprentices how to read iso's is with a piece of wire. Bend the wire first while looking at the print. Then compare the finished results with the print. Then make your pipe or tubing match you wire.
Did this alot for steam tracing.

When I took the master's test there were no Iso's (1999). But they change it regularly. The jour, and masters tests are the same you just have to get more correct answers if you sign up for the masters. The testing company is PSI, you can reach them through the DPOR website as Bill said they are who you will have to send you're affadavits to.

Thats the one PSI. Could not remember. But yes, they do change tests on a regular basis.
