2nd call is replace a lavatory faucet.

3rd is to replace a dishwasher

Easy $1,000 day. ✌

do you have your boots off and working in sock feet???? If so I would never ever do that in other peoples homes/buildings because you never know what you are stepping in and pet hair gets all over your socks, I wear steel toe flip flops if boots have to be removed
I was wearing my boots with boot covers when I was clearing the toilet, but toilet water mixed with draino had splashed on the floor and on my boots. I didn’t want to walk across their carpet/hardwood to the kitchen where I showed him the dog bone, so I popped my boots off.

This is a very good long time client who lives in a multi million dollar home, that is pretty spotless. The kind of clients you sit in the living room with them they make a pot of tea and you chat for 20 mins.

Some of the places I’ve worked were so nasty and dirty I’ve wiped my feet off on the way out of the home cuz I didn’t want to get the city dirty!!

Around $300 for a normal house. I don’t supply the dishwasher but I do haul away the old one.
Old one gets picked up by a scrapper at my office.
That’s what I charge but we don’t haul it away. We set it out by the street. Have set 2 out by the street full of dishes. College kids, asked if they wanted to empty it but didn’t want to put the play station controller down to handle it. So out it went.

Contractors can’t put anything out for city pickup in most locations I work. We have to haul it away. But if I have to take it to the street I might as well roll it into the van and make it a wrap. Old people want it gone usually. Even if I leave it they can only put it out for pickup 48 hrs before and it gets picked up every two weeks. If you put it out early and code enforcement rides by they’ll write you a ticket.

The city of toronto takes away all appliances as long as the doors are removed, if you don’t take off the doors you can be fined. But the scrappers grab them up pretty quickly. We removed an old cast iron tub a while back, took it to the street and it was gone by the time I went back out to my truck.
the city takes toilets as long as they’re in two pieces.

A lot of my high end clients don’t like stuff sitting out in front of their houses, so I charge $75 to haul anything away, same in condos.
Then I bring it home and put it at the curb, I’m surprised the city hasn’t called me asking how many bathrooms I have!!! I’d say “non of your business, but if you must know I have a toilet in every room”!

Don’t tell them you have a toilet in every room, they’re already chomping at the bit to raise your taxes.

Register to do work with a municipality and they will send you contract notices for work. It can be that simple or not.
I asked @PlumbingNewbie because he is a licensed commercial airline pilot.

Maybe I should have flown off the handle and ranted at KCPlumb about how he shouldn't have answered because I only wanted to hear from licensed pilots and that he should know his place. :ROFLMAO:
