Roofers: have probably done time for manslaughter
Hair and beards similar to a guy who sleeps in a dumpster
Refuse to hire anyone without a tattoo above the Adam’s apple
Dont forget that they probably got a bone or bar in going through their nose
too... maybe something stuck through their nut sack or head of their peckers too....
very employable folks.....

Now that I think of it, about 15 years ago I was doing a school job and a bunch of the roofers were guys I went to high school with. They would all leave and smoke weed on their lunch break, and then come back high and jump off the second floor into the foam filled dumpster for fun. Now one of them died of an OD and the other is hooked on junk. This gets less funny the more I type actually.

I know a guy who has a roofing company, he has a few good crew bosses who have there sheit together, but they run crews a revolving door of of scum bags, low-life’s, petty criminals who are payed peanuts.
They’re usually older weathered greasy looking with long hair, and gutter mouths. Def smoking pot/drinking on the job type.

Its hard to watch the people you went to high with school crash and burn..
I got a few that have drank themselves to death and another one that is missing
and is probably buried in a ditch somewhere ..god only knows for sure...

you cant help them as their lives spin out of control....,
but they make you grateful that you did not stumble and fall like they did

I've been in that situation too, and it is hard, because they were friends. Maybe some were scum when we first became friends and we didn't realize until later, maybe they have situations going on in their lives that we don't know about that contributed to their downfall, maybe their particular physiology leads to their bodies craving more of substances that we could use recreationally and then know when to say when. Maybe some or even much of it is due to character and fortitude. There are a hell of a lot of maybes that contribute to these things. For sure, some are lazy good for nothing deadbeats, but there are a lot of good people from good families that have problems too. There but for the grace of my dog go I. I've never been exposed to it more than since joining the trades. Would we want people to just make blanket statements about all tradesmen being addicts?
I recently found out that one friend I've had for about 12 years has a serious problem. Maybe I'm naive, and now in hindsight I see the signs that I just contributed to faults that we all have. Family man, home in the toney suburbs, successful business, great children who grew up to be successful. You just never know.

Actually you are 100% right---
they were good for nothing coc/suckers from the first day I knew them
I was freinds with them because I did not know any better at that time....
it was my own fault for not seeing how really bad they were and stupid me wanting
to run with the popular crowd......lol.

Now days, I look back and realize that they were all just bad luck and
they will just drag you down with them if you dont get away from them..

Unless its with family, (and sometimes it is a brother-in-law)
Their is nothing better than getting to kick back with a cold drink
and watch some jerks life go swirling around the bowl....

thats karma baby..... .

Seriously??? they are not gonna dig a ditch....
maybe rake the parking lot for a few minutes and do a half assed job
and expect 50 bucks for their effort.

This guy made the effort to build him self a porto potty behind our dumpster this summer
with a used toilet and water heater cardboard..... I guess that took some effort.....

Sparkey give me your telephone number and
address and I will put him on a bus and send him
down to work for you.......

lets watch you salvage this moron
