Basic First Aid and CPR are things that should be taught to everyone. It should be mandatory in school. Most people don't have a clue. Be the one that is ready to act when you have a " Man down".

I used to be in Fire Rescue/EMT back in the '80's. I've had to do CPR 5 times, and didn't save any one of them, but they were in a rural area too far out. I didn't let up though.
I hated doing the CPR for show for the obviously deceased, however I resuscitated a 3 YO, that had choked on candy that was my highpoint.
I was a Captain (Volly) and responded 2 houses down in my socks in winter. It happened fast but what a thrill to get on the radio and say " so and so to base, infant is breathing and conscious, continue assignment in with caution"
Snow covered roads and FF/EMS responding to an infant unresponsive and not breathing adds to the dangers.
Assisted in a baby delivery in a home hallway also, but another story.
Birth them, easiest way to create future family biz apprentices.
