I honestly believe that plumbing Zone is helping me become a better business man than just a Tech. Advice Dealing with the general public taking all your advice and experiences.

After being In the employment of a big name company for many years Having to use sneaky tactics to cover my bills feeling dishonest all those years.
Seeing many of you agreeing or disagreeing on how I have been handling the business end has shown me I'm going in the rite direction and self worth of my services I provide.
Thank you all.

After 30 years I learn here. Those who hard line doing certain things right may at times think they are spitting in the wind-not so. If I learn something I have an immediate circle of influence that gets the info passed on. For example: I have used sch 80 pvc on air lines in the past..not anymore.
Also, hearing other perspectives whether or not I show any acceptance of them doesnt mean they dont get evaluated.
I look at jobs now and think,"can I take a picture of this and post it".

Sch 80 pvc for air lines:eek: Oh my!!! You guys looked at the candy painted faucet seat box I posted and i mentioned my friend had a paint/body shop. When he 1st opened it he was bragging that the building was already plumbed with air pipe and all he needed was a bigazz compressor. I went over there to help connect the compressor and they had a bad of pvc fittings waiting for me along with EXISTING pvc that looked like a spider all over the building!!!! 1.25" sch. 40!!!!!!!! I peed on his parade that day!!!! Should have seen the look on his face when I told him he had re-pipe the entire shop. I like how for about 10 seconds they thought i was kidding with them!!! That was the priceless part. Could you imagine the energy stored in 200' 1.25 pvc reduced down to 1/2 at the outlets at a couple hundred psi and a 80 gal. compressor.
