I was thinking of buying this tool. It is not too expensive and seems useful for plumbing. TESLONG 7.9mm Borescope Inspection Camera Triple Lens HD Industrial Endoscope US 850034851310 | eBay

I just bought a cheap milwaukee snake camera after finding out my cheap Ridgid snake camera was broken. This Teslong is much better better screen triple camera lenses it is 16' long and it records voice videos and pictures and inludes a 32 Gig card. also the cable end is replaceable or switchable if you want a different style. For certain jobs when you don't need areal sewer camera of the distance is not too far.

I would be very careful buying electronics like that on amazon. Check the reviews well, try to find legitimate VIDEO(Edited, Typo) reviews.

I have a Klein borescope that hooks to my phone. It's easy to use and has a good picture, rarely need it though.

What would you do, tape it to a piece of pex and push it ? For $200 it might pay for itself quick.

Or to flex shaft? I do own other cameras. I wanted to see where the overflow went behind a tub. It would of helped. I few days ago I was trying to clear a stopped up sewer from a pulled toilet and unfortunately my cable went up the vent and got caught. It took quite a while running the machine in forward and reverse to finally get my cable out. Well my cable had some insulation wrapped around it. My guess it there was an opening in the vent in the attic and my cable went out the opening into the attic and twisted up in some insulation. The small camera would have been quick to check the vent from the roof to look for a hole in the vent.

I have a ridgid, it’s good-enough, but I rarely use it, and it doesn’t live in my truck.
I find more often then not it doesn’t help when looking for a problem.
There is ALWAYS something in the way that you can’t get/see around like insulation, a stud/joist, wood blocking, a corner etc..

I've never seen a cheap Ridgid camera, where can I get one? Ours are are many years old and get used daily. And they were expensive.

Anything is better than nothing. I like Terry's idea of using pex as a stiffener.

Cheap Ridgid, I was referring to the cheap hand held cameras you can buy at home depot, amazon, eBay, Milwaukee and Ridgid hand held borescope type cameras. Not the seescans quality stuff. I think there is a place for those borescope type cameras for tight places and a quick look when you do not want to get your real camera out., jmho. At least lately I have had a few calls where one would come in handy.

That's what I posted. It's only 40$ and is a good brand. It's easy to use and if you don't like it you can return it.
