I found out today that Terry Love, who was a good friend of mine , passed away today up in Seattle.
He was a cancer survivor since around 2010 and was in remission until recently.....
Terrys plumbing forum will be taken over and run by his sons...
I am going to miss him and I wish I would have gone out to Seattle more often over
the past 5 years and done more hiking and general fooling around with him when I had the chance.

I don't mind the idiots much. Most are more worried about me than I'm concerned about them. Hard to find idiots, though.

Idiots seem to be everywhere and are not hard to find imo..
but they certainly like to answer plumbing ads more often than not...

Maybe its the hard drugs that turn them nasty, or melt their minds..... and they need someone to blame
for all the stupid choices they made in life to get them to where they are at now....

The idiots I am talking about are the spastic ones that show up many years down
the road foaming at the mouth trying to shake you down for something that they think
that they are owed.... --- not ones that just got laid off or fired last month...

I could tell some good stories but we all have them and they probably should be in the
business lounge...

I guess if it dont kill you it only makes you a stronger alpha male....

I will be 69 in may but I took the day off and went snow skiing today with my son
and a freind so I will probably be sore tomorrow morning..
of course my cell phone rang off the wall in my ski jacket all day long
.

I am starting to see the light about this since terry Love died last week
but in all honesty I cant pass up the money that I rake in every day
cause it is just coming way too easy now days compared to when we
used to work like dogs do slab rough inns and new home construction..

The money is coming in easy peasy right now and
to just stay home sitting around scratching my nut sack all day long
looking for something to do is just plain dam stupid ...

You can always make more money, but you can't make more time.

I would rather let them guess what kind of fish I am ...
maybe a snapper or tuna...an Orchha, who knows......
just keep them guessing.........

You realize that They always want to test the ones that
think they are sharks,,,... and if you got to go around
trying to prove it to everyone, their is always someone ready and
willing to take you up on it....

you are 100% correct about this...

Terry's time ran out real fast.... I saw him this summer and took him out to
dinner and he told me something was wrong at that time.... Then I talked to
him about 2 months ago after he had a hospital stay ,
and they told him he might have 2 years left ...
I advised him to get his affairs in order asap..
Then things went down hill fast from there ...

Such is life, innit.
After I got my Journeyman Card--like the same day--I knew I'd be self-employed. I was never comfortable letting someone else determine my future. I never regretted my choice.

I know what you are saying.... I worked for some real winners while out in Colorado
and learned that most would rather totally screw up a job than listen to advice from one
of their employees (me) who was looking out for their best interest.....

I Finally realized its best to just keep quiet and watch the ship sink.. and bail out
at the first opportunity.

I worked 50 hour weeks for ten years straight I set myself up so now I work four day week and Thursday by 1-2 off to Baja if I’m not in states I can’t do anything for my clients till Monday also mentally I’m less stressed and not a A- hole attitude any longer 3 more years and I’ll be in Baja and working 1 day a week for my medical money life is very short and I’m going to enjoy myself.
