It's all about ROI.

If you won't play the game their way, the ROI will not be good enough. Now I am not saying all who fail with these groups was not doing their part. Far from it. But for those who won't, I don't want to hear the whining.

On the other hand, you have people like SD on here. He did it their way. It didn't work, and wasn't gonna work. (I understand it was a franchise so it's a little different.)

I think the biggest mistake is that there is a perception they are a good fit for everyone. They aren't. For the right company, they can be a true life saver. But it seems like if you have the cash they will accept you. Bad move on their part.

I have mixed feelings. I worked for a C2000 company. What I personally got out of C2000 changed my life. But I also saw the downside. And it's a huge downside for some people.

Elaborate on the upside and the downside please, from your personal experience.
The short lists...

Upside?

Training resources, specifically sales and business management best practices.

High levels of networking with a group of people committed to high standards and excellence.

Resources made available, including purchasing arrangements with suppliers.

A perfect opportunity to have a mind set change for the better.

Downside?

A one size fits all approach to applying their businesses.

High cost.
