No F’king way are you getting me on a roof to drain clean! My feet are sweating just looking at that picture!
That roof isn't so bad. I tie well rope around my machine and I take the rope and extension chord up the ladder then pull up my machine.
I've also snaked thru the roof vent from the ground with a 15ft length of pipe and a 90 glued on it. Ran my cable out and dropped it right down the stack

You guys that go on the roof to cable, do you have the HO sign a wavier for any roof damage?

I have taken my k-50 machine up on roofs many times and they usually work great for
the smaller drains.... Their is no way in hell would I attempt to clean out a main sewer
with a large machine from the roof....
Hello. Apparently, the roof drains on our 2015 DS are clogged. I found the cover in the corners but I don't see how to clean the tubing running to the ground. Any suggestions?I have taken my k-50 machine up on roofs many times and they usually work great for

Yes, most people don’t know this trick, but a stick of dynamite will easily clear all DS corner drains, that’s what the Taliban do all the time .Hello. I don't know how easy or difficult it is to locate ground level outside c.o.'s up North, but down here in Florida sometimes you can't find one {for a main line stoppage}. It pisses me off when I probe and poke around, looking at clues such as manhole location, stacks on the roof and location of plumbing in a home and still can't find the c.o. {no basements here. Mostly slab on grade homes}.
They are buried. So I have hauled my K-60 up onto the roof many times to get everything flowing again. The only other option is pulling a W/C up and cabling down the closet riser which is more work and I have to bring my equipment into the bathroom. Which I have done when the roof is steep.
Of course clearing a stoppage from the roof is going to cost them more. Sometimes with the K-60 running, I will ask the customer to listen out in the lawn to see if they can hear my cable turning in their sewer line. Usually you can hear it which may lead to them springing for me to cut in a c.o. at grade level.
But as I get older {I'm 55} I wonder how much longer I want to play Spiderman and keep climbing up onto roofs...LOL
