Hi folks,
I work for a power tool company, and I am developing a range of cordless electric plumbing tools. I'd like to throw some specific questions into this forum that could help me design and launch tools built around what the end users (professional plumbers) really need.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I have a 36v makita skilsaw, they only make it left handed. Make me a right handed one. Use a washer with the blade nut so I can swap the blade to either side of the zero mark.

Every powertool should fit in a bucket, that's how we carry tools. My makita worklight had this stupid, oversized plastic frame. I replaced it with a metal one I made myself so it fits in a bucket and added three, 3" magnets so I can stick them to stuff.

Everything should have a magnet option or a threaded hole so I can add magnets/hooks.

One of my sawzall gearboxes died because the shaft hole allowed water in, fix that. We often cut pipes full of water/sewage. My makita worklights have a gasket seal on the battery compartment so they can be water resistant, this is good.

Make the frames stronger. I have broken drills because the body can't handle the torque the motor can make. Flashlights should have replaceable lenses and come with at least one extra lense.

The only tool I am still waiting for it a small power tool like the Milwaukee power tube cutter but one that cuts black iron (or steel pipe). Cutting it with a bandsaw or sawzall is fine but it leaves metal shavings inside the pipe and on the ground and burrs. There is a small one made by rems but it still doesn't have the compactness of the Milwaukee style.

So… Let me get this straight. You’ve been lurking around our forum for almost five months, never submitted a proper introduction per forum rules let alone contributed anything to the community, and now you’re trying to solicit ideas from us to make your crappy tools better? Ok…

Has anyone looked into the Lakeside Moen Posi Temp Puller. I watched it on you tube and got on his site and he wants $175.00 for
the tool. Am I the only one that thinks this price is steep. It would be a nice tool to have but not at that price.

You need the ONA Moen Puller made by Barry Walter company. Ask your supply house if they can order you one, or try calling the Barry E. Walter Sr. Company directly.

He left his information so we can contact him, some of us also have his cell #.

He didn't feel he felt in here because A; He's not a plumber, and B; He doesn't sell directly to plumbers. He said he would occasionally check back and that if we wanted him to address something to just ask him.

this puller is awesome!
I ordered it and paid about $150 CDN in the end with tax, shipping, the exchange and duties.
pricy but I charge $50 per moen cartridge.
