So I'm jammin out on my droid X phone a few minutes ago with Pandora radio and I see A Google add pop up on Pandora that says: "Pro-Tech Plumbing..............Polk countys leading plumbing and solar company"

Pretty cool. I looked up some sensors for a solar pool heater earlier and I think the phone noticed that it is in my geo-targeted area and thought that I was in need of solar/plumbing service. Pretty freekin cool

Pandora radio is great, no commercials and music you like. I use it everyday. If your truck stereo has bluetooth you can wirelessly jam out to Pandora.

I don't have buetooth but my CD player has a aux connection, thats how I plug my phone into my radio.

You can jam out and not miss a call, the radio stops playin music when the phone rings then you hear the call through the car speakers.

There are 3 microphones built into Droid X so I'm handsfree talking while driving and Ive never had a complaint about noise issue. My wife said she cant tell that she is on speakerphone.

I also have the Window Mount Kit for my Droid X. You can plug the car charger into the cradle so the phone is easy to keep charged.

This is the case you need if your rough on a phone.

I got mine a few weeks ago for $34.95 from this site, they always have good deals on cell phone crap. I couldn't wait on the Otterbox, it might be out the 2nd week of Nov.

The Droid X is wayyy better than a Iphone.

So far I think I like it. It does have a few problems though. It occasionally locks up and becomes totally unresponsive. At that point is has to be shut down and rebooted. I would say that it has made me more productive though. It has definitely contributed to my plumbing zone addiction. I'm responding to this post on it right now.

It's very complicated and is more laptop and is phone. It does everything great except send and receive phone calls. That's a bit disappointing seeing as how it's supposed to be a phone and all. The touch screen was real hard to get the hang of. I'm use to having actual buttons that I can feel. Without physical buttons you have to keep your eye on the phone in order to operate it. There are no tactile cues for your fingers to pick up on. For this reason, it's extremely dangerous to use it while driving. If you're real big on multi-tasking you need to get a car dock or bluetooth.

The operating system slows down sometimes too and the actions become jerky.

In spite of all these complaints I would say I'm happy with it. It's probably the best smartphone on the market. My brother has an iphone and he doesn't think it is as good has my droid x

I've had mine since the day the x came out. It's locked up several times. Bad enough where I had to take the battery out. Then the battery tab ripped off when I tried to pull the battery out. Now the screen is messed up. You know when you push on an lcd screen there is the black spot on it? Well that's what mine is doing everytime I touch it. I should be getting a new one today or tomorrow in the mail. Other than that I like it.

If you're more of an iphone guy, verizon should be selling them at the end of the year or into the new year. They're starting to sell the ipad at the end of this month.

Do you guys have any trouble getting your emails in "real time" on your droids? That motorola I1 droid nextel was a POS. Of course, were talking about Nextel here, and if any of you know how downhill that service has gotten, then that may have been the problem. I liked the features that the droid carried, but the Nextel service made it horrible, had to switch back to sprint, with the blackberry bold.

Did you change the settings on how often it checked your e-mails?

Yes, i had it refresh them at the minimum 15 minute mark. But it did not work that way. I had to power off the phone, and then power back up for it to load new emails. It was for sure the network. The browser was super slow. My wife has my old blackberry curve, nextel phone, and the browser on it is just as slow. Nextel blows, and sprint made sure to make it that way.

I had nextel 3 years ago, besides the obnoxious direct connect that people used without courtesy, I mainly dropped them because of delayed emails. I found out later they use a secondary pass through server that caused this.

Personally I've been a iPhone guy the last 2.5 years and since I'm a XM radio customer, I use their free service in the home and rental cars via the iPhone.

I dont know if it is for droid x only. There is an app called way tracer lite. If you have a friend that can install it too then you guys can see exactly where they are on the map. If anyone wants to try it out pm me and I'll give you my username. It works with multiple people.
