Son-in-law of the concrete guy that a GC always uses. Story is he was sitting in the truck, a friend lays his 7mm Rem Mag down and it goes off. They saved his arm, hand and three fingers.

I've only heard the story from 3rd party sources. Shouldn't have had the muzzle pointed at him. Either way, safety had to be off and set down pretty hard on it's side to go off I would think.

If it were me, I would learn to shoot lefty and find a new hunting buddy .

Guns almost never ever go off by themselves , his buddy inadvertantly pulled the trigger. I could see an old old gun going off by themselves but not a newer one, I actually inherited a single shot 12 gauge that does fire if its dropped just right on the butt, I cut it up with a bandsaw. His buddy needs his ass kicked real good for lack of safety , he shouldn't of had a round chambered period getting into a vehicle.
