I am primarily a residential plumber, sometimes I get conned into the commercial side (what are friends for).
Copper is the way to go as long as it is soldered together. But with the price of materials I have installed more pex
than I carry to think about. Now on Pex remodels and replumbs it is the way to go. I despise tankless water heaters.
I enjoy problem solving so repair is fun to me (unless I have to fight the wasps in the well house to fix a leak).
I have been at this for 8 years now, I own and operate my business for the last 4 years. I was an apprentice under
my Father-in-Law and his Father-in-Law, who apprenticed under his Father-in-Law who got his license while serving
in the Army during WW2. So I guess it runs in the family.

I love tankless heaters, we are installing 5-10 a month.

We finally did a copper repipe this week and it was actually nice to be sweating copper again! Although PEX-A would have taken about half the time for real. Don't like tankless heaters? I guess it's a matter of taste, and retrofitting them to older houses is a total pain in the ass, but we enjoy putting them in and always try to make them look great. Anyway, nice intro, welcome to the forum.

My problem if you will is I live in a county of about 8000 people . Most of the older generation remember me running around
my parents pharmacy and the younger I grew up knowing them. The median income for the county is 41K and the population
per square mile is 11.
