I would stipulate that IF you or he can find the correct size "Lead-Loc" fitting to adapt that you will make exactly ONE connection to the lead pipe.

Talk to your liability insurer first and then the AHJ and get something in writing to cover your azz.

I just bought a roll of 50/50 the other day from the supply house. How much you want Master Mark?
It’s still good for non potable.
I use it to tin trap arms going into lead or copper waste arms. Hell I’ve been known to use it wiping in to a lead arm when I didn’t have bar solder handy. It has a decent pasty range.
My thoughts exactly. Soldering copper flashing or pans, pinholes in waste lines too.

I keep a bar of 60/40 in my box. Darn near most of the time I just use the Silvabrite 100 for everything. I soldered a seam on some copper flashing the carpenter repaired years ago and it's still much brighter than the lead seams. I warned the guy I didn't have lead on me. No one notices but me.
