Greetings!
How's it going. My name is David. I'm a first year plumbing apprentice in Atlanta. I started at a small service company but now working commercial and got accepted into plumbing school.

I'm 24 years old. Just got married this past March. Got an apartment close to work, family and my church. I'm thankful for that.

I start class in August while working 60 hours a week. Next five years will be eat, sleep, pipe, repeat. But I'm ready for it. Excited to learn while I earn.

As you go through your apprenticeship, make sure you stay involved in the site. It will help you a lot. I wish I had a site like this when I went through my apprenticeship.

Despite some of the banter on this site, if you have questions that you feel that you don’t want to ask your master, or anything else, feel free to make a post. One of the best things my apprentices can do is ask questions.

There are a good number of people on the site who are incredibly knowledgeable and very active.

Ain't that the truth! I know a couple of kids who didn't, and man did I see them struggle.
