I signed up a few hours ago and made a couple posts. I thought I'd make a more formal introduction. I'm from NY I worked as a carpenter 14 years old (not full time back then of course) because my father owned a buisness. I never really liked it but just did it because it was the family buisness of sorts. He wound up moving away and the buisness went to heck while he was in the process of moving so their was really nothing left for me to take over.
I had a few good job prospects but decided not to continue with carpentry. I decided to give plumbing a shot and I've been doing it for two years now and I must have been dropped on the head because I love it.
I'm getting the idea here that most guys here are licensed and own their own companies. I do not, I've been working for a plumber the last two years. Hopefully in another four I'll take the test and get my own license.
