Illinois Licensed Plumber
Hi everyone. Just found out about this forum from a friend on another forum. I will lurk for a while to get a feel for the place, then I hope I can contribute to some discussions.
Non-Union shop, we are a small family owned and operated. The company been around since 1959, I have been working for my father for 20+ years. I did help my best friend from High School get his license and he and he got into the 501 a few years back. When I was younger I tried to get into the 130, my sponsor kept telling me to keep on Pete Diamond to get in. But things did not work out then and now I am the backbone to my fathers company.Welcome. 130?
I have been having trouble with accounts not calling lately as well. I just did a bunch of work over at the Wonder Bread Thrift store by Midway airport. Wonder Bread is the only steady account that still believes in calling a plumber, instead of letting their maintenance men make things worse. I really hate how dead the phones are these days.I have a couple of accounts in Chicago. One is by I-55 and Pulaski. Old factory, lots of work, but they haven't been calling lately.
A lone voice of sanity among the animals... :laughing:Welcome SewerRatz! To quote another here, I am the token female.
(Yes, IP, I saw that.)
My mother runs our company.. I think the best run companies are ran by women :sweatdrop:A lone voice of sanity among the animals...
If I was running my own plumbing business I'd want someone just like PlumbCrazy running the business end of it.
Her husband is one lucky man!
