My 91 with 5/8" cable. Start with a single crescent head and work up to full size root cutters to insure full diameter of pipe is clear. Then run a hose(5gpm+) for 10-20mins to check flow. 4" pipe is 2/3rd of a gallon per foot, 100' is thus 66gal. 66gal/5gpm= 13.2mins. to fill 100' clogged at the end.

If it does fill up again run snake again until I am sure I am in the septic tank OR that the line is more than 95' and have them call septic company to pump tank. If more than 95' and tank is good I will come back and snake from newly exposed tank back to house. If the line is between 95'-170' I will RARELY run my 75' of 3/4" behind the 5/8" to reach farther. Usually I just tell customers to call a jetter for lines past 95'.

All of y'all who run Marcos, how do you get repair parts? Do you have them machines? Or is there a company who makes aftermarket parts for them?

I make my own parts or have them made.

I ordered top of the line bearings from McMaster Carr for the reel shaft and lubricated the interior with airplane landing gear grease.

I replaced the axle and added air up tires. I enlarged the loading wheel to 8”.

I milled the front torque tube bearing out of bronze and keep it greased with wheel bearing grease.

If you keep the bearings nice and tight nothing wears out.

It has an AO smith motor that I can get repaired or replaced at a local motor shop.

I think I’ve given you the number before of the motor and with the number a motor shop should be able to cross reference it to a new motor.

If you want it. It’s in my garage. Just let me know.

Rebuilding the old Marco was taken on as a joke but then I got into it and I love the machine. It’s stronger than me, bad boy will get away from ya if you ain’t careful.

Run the switch the wrong way and it’ll wrap you up like an anaconda
