Does anyone know of a faucet repair kit that is available to put on each service van which would at least give out techs a fighting chance of having the parts needed for repairs. We have been putting together our own kits but these always seem to be sorely lacking. Don't mind spending the $$$ but am tired of the constant supply house runs for silly parts.

If your not a plumber disregard this. If you are do what I do for my guys. Set of flat washers, set of o-rings, and we stock delta moen a/s colony and central brass repair parts. Everything else is special order and we either reschedule or they pay for drivetime to get it.

Yep + t&s parts if you do commercial! Otherwise you got thousands of dollars worth of faucet parts that you may never need!

determine what are the basic faucets used in your area. For example here we have gerber,moen,delta,briggs,kohler,indiana brass,t&s,American standard aqua seal. I have built kits for the guys

That's a good topic.. If we have the parts on truck it's an easy fix.. If not it turns into a pain in the butt..

I have these same o-ring kits and they've worked out great. Since Sexauer is out of business I can't easily restock my Sexauer o-ring kits, these are the next best option for the bulk of the o-rings you may need. Occasionally I still pull one from the Sexauer kit.

I keep all my big boxes at my shop. Then refill my most common washers and orings into my truck box.
For ME there’s no need to haul all that around town, most will dry rot from the heat before it gets used. My shop is climate controlled.
No matter how hard you try, you can’t carry it all. Not even close……not now days.

I might give them a call and get a list of the sizes and quantity.
I don’t have any use for anything above 3/8” L and bevel washers. I have plenty of those and they rarely get used.

I need to know too as I am running out of my beveled gatorskin washers. They used to sell these two nice little blue boxes with rods that folded out the washers were stacked on. Before that they sold a metal box with individual jewel cases, that's what I have. A big box like this would be good for our shop.
That's the beauty of Smart phones. Send me a pic of it, i dont care if they know its a moen or a delta, I want to see it. Name brand common stems and washers are on the trucks, off brand, we have about 7 different places to go to before hand to pick it up. I dont see any other efficient way to "carry" every part.
You can just order a bag of ~20 of each size you need.
Yeah I’ve heard of smartphones before. But when the customer doesn’t use them or they forgot about the faucet that drips, it’s good to have a real plumbing truck with a Bibb washer kit
