I can’t answer your question definitely, but I believe it’s rated off BTU for sizing purposes Of the valve.
The “ stick “ on a typical T&P valve is your thermostat. Tankless pressure relief valves are missing the thermostat. The hole is there, but it’s not installed.

I never thought about that. It's the wax inside the stick that forces the valve open.

In TN you can do flex or hard pipe as long as it has a Union. Real problem is it’s a State instead of a Rinnai haha

Yeah, because the only place the line can break is at the appliance. It can’t break at the other 152 joints.
