Hey everyone,

I’m a licensed journeyman and also as of today ASSE backflow test certified.

Im having trouble figuring out If I could get my feet wet on my own with starting a Backflow testing company. Does anyone here have any information on what I could do? Could I start a LLC? Testing only? Repairs?

Thank you for any and all help!!!!

Good luck with the Backflow testing it’s a hard field to gain customers due to people using the same tester if you do get clients for testing give them a reminder that it’s time to test .I don’t relay on Backflows I’m a service plumber it’s my main focus where testing and repair of Backflows is icing and easy work.

I certainly wouldn’t be relying on this income. Just small steps toward doing my own thing.

I sincerely appreciate your perspective and the advice!
