Going with the Kohler pressure assist. Thanks Rock!
Pressure assist toilets suck.... we installed a few of them in a doctors office
and the expansion tanks wore out in about a year from too much action all day long..
They about flooded out the place and I was able to just buy the whole exact tank and
change everything out instead of fooling with the sloan parts.....

their have been a lot of recalls on them in the past too so I stay away from them

good luck with it , and keep a spare tank on hand just in case...

I got a call Saturday from a GC who’s friend runs some kind of elder care office. We are changing the toilet out to a pressure assist tomorrow to assist with those hard stools.

Anybody ever feel like a Dr explaining they need to take their laxatives and eat more fiber otherwise you'll be back to carve out yet another hard stool from the toilet trap.

Yes, and Some meds cause constipation/hard stool, imo seems to be mostly in elderly people.
I’m forever augering out their toilets. I tell them to talk to their dr about the fact that they’re clogging their toilets with their hard logs due to their meds.
-I had one wife tell me she breaks up her husbands hard stool with her hands..
-I’ve seen a bread knife beside a toilet that was used to cut up the logs..
-I’ve seen rock hard logs solely back up toilets
-…and keep on going..

I got pissed off at a lady one time in a brand new home they just bought
and she complained about the toilets.... We went ahead and changed them out
and then the same specific toilet kept stopping up.....

I made a few trips out for free then I finally lost my cool and just asked her " so who is dropping the bricks in the toilet"??
She fessed up and said her little boy craps a turd about the size of a tennis ball....
So I asked her how is this my fault and told her that we are not
coming back again to fool with this....for free.....

I sold her my General Wire toilet auger and showed her how to use it and the problem
was solved....

There’s no warranty on a toilet not clogging from me.

If they want a warranty for that then they have the wrong guy.

If he’s updating put in Sloan flush valve with zurn toilet I would not put in the Kohler with pressure assist I had two installed at a very busy restroom the handles where always coming off trip lever to flushmate

That is a known issue. We’ve resolved it by putting a slight bend on the handle rod when we install them. It sucks.

The Zurn flushmate tank I just worked on uses a $50 flush handle module.

The flush handle pushes into the part pictured above. The handle is metal( not pictured). The $50 module is all plastic.

I'd go with an American Standard Cadet Pro, preferably the FlushMate version. The non-assisted variety takes standard guts too.

The Champion 4 is a good one. The only thing different from normal is the flapper, and I can find those almost anywhere in my neck of the woods.
I think all American standard toilets suck,I haven’t found one yet that flushed worth a crap lololo

Can’t beat gerber fixtures, almost all pressure assist toilets have the same Sloan internal tank in them
