Today had a call for a failed relief valve making the basement floor wet.
Found a water logged ST-12. This was installed about 10" from the top of the heater. The 3/4 m connection was screwed into a 3/4c x 3/4c x 3/4 FIP Tee. Why the cast fitting did not break or the tank break off baffels me. No support what so ever! The tank was 100% full and static pressure was 95 PSI.
I put in a new tank owner has to approve a PRV.
Anyway here is the BRA -- even has a strap.
