I Bought a bunch of stuff off of an old timer, who had a “Plumbers Supply”, that was closing.
Lots of stuff dirt cheap(valves, pipe/fittings, repair parts..etc…)
it’s going to take me along time to sort it all out..

anyway, among the spoils was a some of brass and chrome bits (see pics below),
Product Material property Cylinder Gun accessory Metal

Office supplies Material property Writing implement Auto part Cylinder

I’ve been in residential service work for most of my career and never seen these, any idea what they are?
They were in this 9” x 11” 4 drawer
Gas Automotive tire Machine Rectangle Audio equipment

Ammunition Yellow Bullet Wood Cylinder

Looks like a bunch for the scrap yard but if I had to guess it looks like some thermometer wells and maybe meter nipples.

If they're 3/8" npt I'd venture a guess they're ballcock supply adapters.

Nothing more fun then getting first dibbs on a supply house or plumber
that is closing down their shop and he just wants pennies on the dollar...

I have scored some good stuff that way before...

Those leak plugs/caps are meant for tanks which I am sure you know, BUT you can drill a 1" hole in a drain pipe to run the camera and patch it with one of those. I always keep a couple on the van.

Meter nipples, though I can't remember ever seeing them chrome plated.
That's why I said ballcock supply adapters. Also, look at the thread pitch, seems too fine to be 1/2" or 3/4".

they look like meter nipples. I only say that because it looks like there is a nut there in the drawer that would go with them.
That one nut in the middle, right in front of one of the chrom nipples? It appears to be on a 1/4"mpt x 1/2" supply adapter.

Comparing to the tape measure in the picture these are 3/8 ip size nipples. Like others have said likely ballcock adapters. Can you imagine if we still had to hard pipe supply lines like this. That would suck big time!!!!

You selling the drawer cabinet too? :)
The drawers thing is what I wanted, the
plumbing crap was a bonus. I got a bunch of metal kits/organizers in that haul.I scored a mini 4 drawer from an old watch maker not to long ago
