It has an integrated porcelain spout. The customer has two of these. The valves are getting a little worn out after 100 years of use. Any ideas for replacement?

The only thing I can think of involves machining a custom brass ring and using a modern widespread valve body. The ring would go between the bottom nut and the bottom of the sink. It would have a hole drilled from the outside which would accept 3/8" OD copper to solder in. There would be another hole drilled in the face near the center bore where the ring would contact the porcelain. It would work like a brake line fitting where it attaches to the caliper.

It also occurs to me that I could drill a hole through the side of a widespread valve body at the correct point and then just cap the 1/2" leg out.

I hear a 75K lawsuit which you'll have to pay all by yourself when it ruins half their house because you decided to play the engineer.

CAD or USD?

Whether this goes into the customers house or not I would like ideas on a solution. If this doesn't go into their house it's going into mine because they'll have to get rid of these sinks altogether and they are in extremely good shape.
