Default Transitioning from lead to copper

Around my area we still have some lead water service pipe that we have to adapt to when changing out a main valve. Our boss does not want us sweating the copper directly in to lead so at the moment we’re using these philmac couplings.

It seems sketchy as heck and looks terrible, but they seem to be working (knock on wood). If anyone is using anything else I would be interested to hear it!

Take a look here. I never used it but it's Ipex so you know it's good quality and it's NSF and CSA approved.
