Default Small leak...

Have a small leak under shower coming from the collar. This is in an RV (my home). I am a plumbing novice. I can't loosen the collar up by the drain to get the whole trap out. It's a very small work space. Is there a way to fix the current trap? There is no seal inside, it is a tapered end in the collar. Need advice! Thanks!!

I’ve had good luck with plumbers putty. Just cover the outside all the way around. It has to be at least a half inch thick and encase the entire joint.

nah that putty sux..silicone is the way to go..just pump an ample amount on the leak and work it around with your hand....several layers real thick will do it..
