Default Anyone here from Louisiana?

We have a second home there are having to hire people to do some HVAC and plumbing work. Wondering if flat rate installations are subject to sales tax? It wouldn't be where we live and we are using a relatively new company recommended by a wholesale house there. I'm not sure they have their billing finely tuned quiet yet - trusting but verifying.

Are you looking to hire an employee? If so I'll transfer the thread to the proper section.

No - not looking to hire an employee. We aren't licensed in LA and only have a second house there. Looking to hire another plumber who is licensed to do work as needed. Water heater is close to 30 years old so we want to switch it out before it decides to leak

it doesnt matter how its billed flat rate or T&M..it depends on what you are doing if its taxable or not, usually capital improvements are not taxed but repairs are, but each state is different so you should check with that state on what is or not taxed...
