Awkward.

I don't really have anything to say to him anyway, so my feelings couldn't be less hurt.

I will say he has lost quite a bit of weight since I last saw him. I don't say this simply to be an a$$, but it's incredible what getting out of a chair on a daily basis will do for your figure.

Did you leave your old boss on good terms or did one of you burn the bridges down to the ground ???

Its hell when they have to get up out of the office and actually have to work again...

I would greatly prefer that their be "peace in the valley" and not have to have bad feelings from someone I might see at the supply house a few months down the road......

I could tell some stories but its better not to...

I do pass on their telephone numbers and current addresses to the bill collectors that eventually call me looking for them...... I feel its the only right thing to do....LOL

Turned out the jet skis didn't even run, so now a $5000 paper weight?

Then the guy offered to get them running for him, so he towed the jet skis over to his place down the street.

Next thing you know they are gone and never to hear from the guy again. His misplaced generosity was a frustrating thing to witness.

I could go on and on, but I digress.

No work today, so I designed a label and sent it off to Master Mark's label company. It's pouring buckets out there anyway, so I'd rather hide indoors. 😛

Hopefully they respond to this one.

no good deed goes unpunished...2 things I NEVER loan out..tools and money..and never regretted a day that goes by for sticking with those rules...
Agreed!

As an employee, being told that there isn't enough money to pay you for time you were at work, because of all the time you've been taking off, is a pretty clear sign that the bridge has been ignited and GTFO of it before it collapses while you're still on it.

I didn't give him any notice, but I did attempt to at least give him the courtesy of telling him to his face, but he wasn't there when I went to tell him, so I attempted to make a phone call before I left, and he didn't answer. He never even called me back. I got a random text a couple of weeks later wishing me luck, but I kinda doubt he meant it.

Took me a while to get past that feeling like i've let someone down, but I'm over it now.

I would have preferred peace in the valley too, but even that disappeared months before I quit.

I keep my first plumbing bosses obituary next to my coffee maker so that I can start each day with a smile.

There is a company in our town that I have heard the horror stories about from a few ex-employees that worked there......

The owner had a whole bunch of guys sitting around on a bench all day long with nothing to do and was only paying them on commission...made big promised to them to come to work for him but they figured out he just was all lies and talk..

One guy finally had enough and quit one morning and this boss got so mad that he actually SPIT on the guy....calling him a failure and loser who would not make anything of himself........

I probably would have taken a shovel to the mans face.

Since this all went down the company has been sold off to another group that hopefully runs it better
