When I talked to their salesman he said "Honestly that's how we do it with the guy you used to work with" So ex co-worker who has bankruptcy on his credit, multiple car repossessions can't get a credit account isn't really surprising.

Anyway maybe in time as I become established they will start bothering me and I'll just say look - I don't want to put all of my material on a credit card.
That doesn't really go very far if i'm plumbing a big house.
I use one credit card for all business expense, I donít want multiple supply house accounts to keep track of and write 20 checks to different suppliers every month. Plus if you get a credit card with a good cash back rewards program the money adds up quick.

I too use only my credit card for the supply house, same card for groceries. Just like Debo I get points and trade in those points for hardware store gift cards.

I only buy fittings so I never charge a lot on it. Large payment ticket items are tools that I order online.

I get 5% back on my amazon card from anything I buy from amazon and on my citi card I get back 2% on EVERY purchase...it adds up to some nice $$$ at the end of the year..
