Default Building a Web Page...

Any advice on how to build a great page or where to have a page made? I would like something functional with all the right landing pages etc...

It appears that Google can help build something, is it anything worth looking into?

Get a small server package and install a WordPress Site on it and learn how to make an amateur effort...

Or hire someone that knows what they are doing...

Really I recommend sticking to what you know...
You've seen DIY plumbing right?

My wife went to Weebly and designed ours. Wix was another one we toyed around with. They have templates that you can plug your images into and add your own text. Once you get done tweaking it, there's a few options for hosting. Here's how ours turned out...

You definitely want to turn it back on...

44% of the visitors to my 411Pumb site are on phones & tablets...

Probably an even higher amount for someone looking for service...
Phone in hand... "I've got a pipe leaking" "I've got a sewer backup"...

And IMO it really depends on how big you are. We're a husband and wife only shop and really don't need anything more than what we have. I'm not interested in taking Wordpress courses right now to be able to build a "Baker Bros." type website with all the coding needed to optimize....But then again, we only do commercial work and most of our business is referral and contract so we only spent about $50 instead of a couple thousand...

Actually I still recommend WordPress...
Even in your situation...

WordPress is "Open Source" which translates to "Free"

It also has numerous "Free" themes to customize your website's appearance with...

Wordpress is used on about 25% of all websites worldwide and on about 60% of all websites using a content management system...

There is constant ongoing development in the platform, themes, and plug-ins with constant updates, and with virtually nothing you can't do...

It isn't going to disappear on you anytime soon...

You can put up something simple with little knowledge...
Or you can put up something really good with a decent amount of knowledge...

I went with a local small business that makes webpages. I'm a one man operation, fairly competent when it comes to computers, but the main thing is I just don't have the TIME to sit down and do all the coding, reading, studying, man-power in front of the keyboard to make it look nice and not have bugs.

I priced a few online web-site makers and some are pretty high, I think they offer other services like adding "add words" which help you get to page 1. My site is an "organic" site which doesn't have "add words" it took time to get to page one, but now I've been there and I don't have to continually pay to have the "add words" added/edited.

I plan on being in business for a long time so I have the time it took to get to page one. If you want to be on page 1 today you will pay a pretty penny.

The other nice thing I hear from my customers is they are happy with my website they comment that it's easy to navigate and the information is clear and to the point.

If you're interested, this is how it looks. I've been very pleased with it.
