Exactly how are you different?

I've been working with Female Plumbers for almost 20 years -- You're not a Pioneer, not by any stretch of the imagination.

I count the Ladies who actually busted down the walls so you can be where you are now as my friends.

Get over yourself and stop disrespecting those who came before you.

Welcome aboard, great to have you.

That's quite a chip on that feminine shoulder of yours.

There are some genuinely nice gentlemen around here who will treat you with courtesy, honor and respect. We have some well-respected ladies on this zone.

You can let your guard down, we are not out for blood simply because you are the fairer sex. Occasionally a handyman wanders in here trying to glean some free information from us; he is tarred, feathered and promptly sent on his way. But professional plumbers, such as yourself, are allowed and encouraged to stay. So once again, welcome aboard.

" journeyman for now....bigger later. Formally plumbing for the last several years while working on the license. Went through all the ranks....watcher, helper, apprentice & school....now here for now until the master's test rears it's head. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I have an established sole proprietorship that is 4 years old now...."

So , your just another illegal hack , stealing work from legitimate plumbing contractor.

Have a good day .

I get so tired of folk who ask for no special treatment while all the while extolling how special they are.

If she wants to talk Shop, then it's on. If she wants to talk X&Y chromosones, then forget about it.

I love it.

Ask Utah/Mark, I've been tar n' feathered for the exact opposite reasons on other forums.

Two things that get me, hacks gleaning info to profit on work they shouldn't do, homeowners asking for price info on other plumbers rates.

it's not fun having a customer you're ready to sign a contract with tell you that 1/2 of your price s a "more reasonable" rate, when the homeowner has gotten the price from either a handyman, someone in a part of the country with much lower costs of living, or a newbie working out his moms garage.

Nathan, I think, was going to have an ulcer over me for this @ contractor-talk.

Really? Oh how you assume and make yourself look foolish. I built my business and customer base not by doing unlicensed plumbing, but in a related field that can be carried over. Working for years as an unlicensed plumber when I already have several hundred competitive males looking for ways to shut me down before I get there? Tsk, Tsk....don't be a silly pants.

Ahh...someone has butthurt...no, I come in and an intro/snyposis was immediately demanded. Apparently it is some requirement to stave off the unqualified, which I completely understand. I tell you about myself and some are a bit dismayed that I am not flirting or offering my crack as a token for acceptance. I do not consider myself special...I do, however, consider myself different in the way that taunting and male ego tears do not have the desired effect... Stop assuming I want special treatment. Whining is very unbecoming for such a big strong boy.
