Thank you for your opinions.
My wife is moving to NY because she got this amazing job at Sloan Kettering cancer center. Her family lives in NJ and we want to be closer to them so an option is to live there as well. I am still trying to understand which state would be better to move to.

I think I gave information in my intro, regarding my job and work experience.

I understand that leaving Texas would not be the easiest thing for my career- moneywise or many other ways. Alas! life happens compromises have to be made for the family. I'm sure y'all can understand that.

Anyways, if anyone has guidance for me on the best possible way to start with plumbing in NY/NJ, I would appreciate it.

well you have the info about ny, I have no clue about jersey..best bet is google and make contact with them direct for what you need...

I'm from Texas, my wife is from New Jersey. Good food up there but NOT a place for a southern boy. Lots of union plumbers there.

My sister n law tried to convince my brother and I of moving to Camden, Nj lol. Her grandfather is a union delegate or something for a pipe fitters union up there and guaranteed us big money........
