Default It's the Little Things...

Not sure if this has been discussed and it was weighing on my mind today as I scarf down my lunch. What are the little things that give you satisfaction throughout your day out in the field. My example: I love the sound of a main line popping open after the homeowner has "tried everything". Not only is it the sound of money being earned it's just one of those little things that make me grin a lil bit even though I'm standing around a tepid pool of feces, fem products, profelactics, and wipes they swear they never flush down the toilet. I can't be the only one. How about you?

When I had a helper we'd prepare for the worst when cutting into a line or opening a cap then just a few drops come out. Anticlimactic is what we'd say.

When that customer calls back to cancel their appointment because you can't possibly make it to them until 9-10pm. My Monday.

When you bid a repipe for $2-3k and everything goes right and you're done in two hours. My Tuesday.

Having the ability to take a sanity day off whenever you want (well almost).

Had a tankless with a bad flow sensor. WH would not fire up. Swapped out sensor and flow valve, turned power on, opened tap and that sweet sound of the burner lighting up makes me all giddy.

I had my inspection this morning for underground and top out drains for bathroom addition. As the GC is walking the inspector out, the inspector turns to me and says "great job on the plumbing by the way, it looks really good".

Damn I miss that. I do more on the warranty service side so rarely if ever deal with inspectors anymore. Awesome bro!

Water testing the plumbing and passing inspection. Releasing the air out of the test plug is like lifting all the weight off my shoulders and the water flushing away is like flushing the tension down the drain, literally.

I liked this today

I think the contents of the cabinet on the left also explain the tail piece.
