Have you taped the door safety switch down, so can have power with the fan compartment door off.

Seems like its just the t stat terminal wiring.
Going to look at new t stats this weekend.
At least i have an awesome fire place lol

if its just the t stat, why dont you just twist the wires together to get heat and untwist when it warms up????
bypassing it all together till you replace it..

I was going to say did you try jumping out t stat but awesome you got it figured out.. those t stat wires are so fragile half the time with 20 wire nuts on the line...

My t stat uses speaker wire lmfao

Im gunna look for a "flip phone" version of a thermostat, too many features, no buttons all touch pad numbers.
What happend to the days where you turn a knobb. My dam t.v has 2 remotes an need to press 4 buttons to turn it on 😐
Stop re inventing the wheeeeeeel !

just get an old fashioned honeywell round tstat...heres one for $27 in change in the USA..probably $50 bucks in canada..

Lol so it was wired backwards. Orange wire was in rh an red wire was in rc terminal. Last owner must of never had heat.
