Default Deming Pfister

When did Price Pfister become Deming Pfister, what's the story behind that?

Deming is a model name of one of their faucets. They dropped the Price in their name a while ago because it made them sound like a “cheap” POS brand.

PF, Pegasus, Glacier Bay, And Danze are some of the cheap a$$ brands in Ontario.
I refuse to touch/install them.
In the past when I did, I had too many call backs for problems with the repair Still giving a problem or a new install, coming loose/leaking/etc.

I had to replace a KS faucet at my church, a member gave me a Costco model (forgot the brand, but same Danze junk), spout O-rings were hung up, I couldn't get it apart to lube them up..
I saw that there is only 1 parts distributor in the U.S. needless to say, I bought an A/S faucet and installed it.

We sold/installed may P-P faucets years ago, they rated right up there with Gerber in the quality dept.

I installed a few, one of them was an expensive but such a junk faucet the supplies underneath kept kinking and the freaking C clip fell from my fingers and lost it. The woman started to get angry and spewed $hit words at me. I used steel wire and rubber hose to get it working and I didn't get paid for the job!!

Then I installed other ones and they were fine.

Many years ago HD had a plumber's day in their parking lot. Dozens of plumbing vendors. Waste of my time as they all tried to flag me down as I walked through the parking lot into the store.

The Price Phister rep annoyed me enough that I unloaded on him. I said "your brand has caused me more call backs than all other brands combined". Several other reps snickered. I then pointed at the Kohler rep and said "you're on notice with your plastic parts that HD to requires you to use".
