Default Why isn't Thanks good enough?

Not sure I understand the need for both a thanks and like button. Please explain the ever so subtle difference between them.

I usually view site through an Android phone or a Kindle. On mobile version i don't even see like or thanks options.

If you're on a mobile device, and using he mobile skin, it's not going to show up since it is a custom hack but you can use the desktop view if you want.

It's just a matter of having an option. We have had requests for both over the years. You can ignore one, the other , or both if you wish.

For the longest time, I used "thanks" to say "Thanks" and also for "I Like / Agree." Never gave it a second thought until you posted it.

I will have to remember to "Like" more posts! I did thank your post because I appreciate being made aware that there are two options. Hard to break old habits. The older I get, the less I like change.
