Default We’re bad parents, kinda...

Ordered takeout dinner from a restaurant just down the street. Total came to $20.98. Sent Joe, our 10y/o with $21 to walk down pick it up and bring it home. Told him he could keep the change. Teaching him the art of negotiation.

Who specifically said you are bad parents? I have never heard of this being a bad thing. I assume you don't live on the side of the interstate.

If he wants to keep more than 2 cents worth of change tell him to do like my customers. Haggle before, haggle during, haggle after, and dispute the materials and taxes.

He's going to wear them down and get a free lunch and keep all the money too!!!.

Damn 21$ what a bargain! No way, Mcdonald's is 11$ for a regular combo with diluted soda... A regular restaurant for 3 is about 80$ up here. The sad part is that the food tastes like crap. We make better food at home.

I say again, damn that's inexpensive.

Here take a look. we went to a show the other day, check these prices out. I took a picture because next time I get a price complaint and I have to go court I'll use this as an example of 1000% to 3000% markup.

Sights, did you watch him walking there and back? How's the neighborhood?

I'm a very concerned father. I watch my kids as much as I can.

His pay was 2 cents. What a delivery fee.....LOL

Oh, you mean because the change was only two cents. I thought you meant for sending him alone.

Honestly, I would trust my 9yr old to walk five miles and back before I would trust him home alone.
