My Master said he watched a deer eating apples that had fallen from his trees. Watched it eat for close to an hour, then stumbled off like it was drunk. Told him it was probably eating apples that fermented from wild yeast.

I’m planning on crushing and pressing one or two gallons this year and just let the wild yeast do it’s thing. Worst that could happen is I end up with a sour depending on if there’s any bacteria.

I get the deer that eat the rotting fermented apples from my trees, they seem to know when they are just right to eat..

Elephants will do it too. About the only thing I can think of that might be funner than a herd of drunk plumbers is a herd of drunk elephants.

Fermented fruit could certainly be the cause of the stumbling raccoon, but that is also one of the symptoms of the end stage of rabies. If you've ever raised poultry you know that the best raccoon is a dead raccoon.
