Here if you show a cell phone at a concert you are told to put it away or it gets confiscated or you get booted out of the venue.

I had a sweet old lady call me Sunday with a backed up kitchen drain. Told her I could definitely make it there Tuesday, but would do my best to get there Monday. I’ve done lots of work for her and her son over the years.

I was able to fit her in on Monday. Turned out to be plugged in the trap. I told her to just give enough for gas for my Master for gas. Well she gave me more than I asked for and she said lunch was on her.

She’s not very well off, had to use a credit card to replace her heater a couple of years ago.

So I got home, checked the mail and found a letter from her. I just want to share what kind of customers I have.

I kinda feel a little bad now. She was literally on the way home and it took me all of 5 minutes to empty her trap and test her line. Between what cash she gave me and this check for $100 she has now overpaid me by $25 if I had just changed her to bring the machine in and run it not counting her seiner discount. Making a mental note for next time.

Why not view it this way : A good deed was finally rewarded.

I went to a Tool concert 2 weeks ago and the 'no cell phones or cameras allowed' signs and reminders were everywhere and I mean everywhere.

Before the last song the lead singer said it's ok to video and phones went up everywhere.

Replacing some concrete sewer structure beside ridiculous utilities and almost daily heavy rain. 170 unit apt complex means heavy sewage flow around the clock. Plenty of before/during photos if anyone is interested.

I've been digging for days tiptoeing around rain, utilities, tenants, live sewage pipes, terrible access, mud, etc. Probably another week before I'm done.

It took the power company 3 utility locate requests to show up, after I paid for private locates, a couple more days to get a plan formed then they just protected the underground wires. 11,400 volts so I'm digging carefully.
