I think I have no choice to put cameras, I would wire them, I don't want to be constantly replacing batteries. Putting cameras is going to be an expensive thing.

I'm waiting for a technician at the city to call me back...
camera systems are cheap, well here in the usa they are, you can get a4 or 6 camera system for a few hundred, i have an 8 camera system for my upstate house, paid around $500.00 for it and wired it up myself..easy peasy...
the boulders would be on neighbors side of fence so you wont see them, so who cares what crap he puts on them, im talking boulders a few feet in diameter weighing a ton or so each one, they will have to be put in with heavy equipment, so he isnt going to be moving them..

What brand did you buy and can you clearly see a person's face? I did some research some time ago and if you want to go to court with the video the image has to be of excellent quality and detailed to identify without a doubt the correct person.

I would probably put a monitor beside my PC for easy viewing.

i bought samsung, and yes quality of pictures are good, it depends on the actual camera, so you can buy 2 high quality cameras for the system that points at neighbor and use the others around other parts of the house, night vision is where you lose some clarity with the real cheap cameras, but still very affordable..

I should of kept some ordnance from the military, I was trained to do mine fields and booby traps. The Elsie would be the perfect fit.

In fantasy land yes...
If you ever dealt with booby traps and explosives it is inevitable you will blow yourself up at some point. Not getting yourself caught in your own traps is only in the movies.
