Well normally it would be easy for me as I could walk right over to the sheriff's office (across the street and 2 houses down) and have it done. Now the county office/sheriff office is closed to the public in person so I called and asked about it and they won't let me pick up the paperwork or drop it off over there. It has to be mailed. I even asked if they might just be willing to drop it off by my door as I am basically right across the street from them and it would probably be less work for them. No so now I have to wait for the mail and then wait for the mail to get back to them again and then wait for them to process it and then wait for the permit in the mail. All this hassle for a little 22lr rifle when I could normally have gone over today done the paperwork there and go over and pick it up when it was done.

That's stupid about the grip. Tell the store to sell it to you without the grip, quick and simple single screw holding it on. Then buy yourself a Hogue grip.

Some dumb a$$ unconstitutional laws that make absolutely no difference. Too many of them. HeII, my crossbow uses an AR style pistol grip and buttstock. Not an exact AR grip, but damn close.

I know I know. I have looked at it for a couple of years now but it was not high on the list. There was a good deal on the scope and ok deal on the rifle and I desided to finally just get it. It's just for cheap fun times at the range nothing more. It just happens to be bad timing now I guess but if I dont deal with it now I likely won't ever get around to buying it.

Oh definitely. The scope was nice as all I have had so far is cheap crap that came with my rifles. The scope is for my new winchester model 70 30-06 that I won in a raffle and well I decided to go and treat myself to the rifle too.

Fresh out of bootcamp I almost bought a Bushmaster for like $350 IIRC. My Dad convinced me to save my money.....

Then they came out with the ban.

Finally bought one the day after Obama was elected. Itís a Remington Bushmaster, however it was made at the old wyndham arms factory.
