Most of us "Red States" on that map know the Red States on the map below are a bit crazy with guns...

We'd prefer to check you out a bit first before we let you carry an AK-47 and 20 clips into church on Sunday...

I have my Illinois permit. Never really use unless taking my son out to a movie or something similar. I don't carry while working but I do keep my 1911 in the glove box of my truck.

My true joy of shooting comes from hitting steel 700+ yards away with my AR down at dads place.

@Tommy plumber check this link http://www.freshfromflorida.com/
After you got your certificate, they will do everything for you and you pay $112 (scan fingerprints, pictures and deal with papers). That's the best and easy way to go.

I have a Connecticut Permit To Carry...

I can carry it any way I want...
But I choose to carry concealed...

I don't need to show off my big gun and alarm people needlessly...

Open carry advocates who bait police are part of the problem with guns guns in this country.

I'm all for it if it's legal but the guys on YouTube who purposely bait the police so they can refuse to ID themselves only create animosity between the cops and gun owners.

Open carry is an awesome right. Virtually unheard of on the entire planet. Enjoy it responsibly.

I have permit for concealed and carry a glock 42 or my s&w shield 9mm (I'm small and skinny person, just 5.5 and 128 lbs[tommy saw me]) so is hard for me to conceal. At home is a complete different story but even if they pass open carry, I'll keep using it concealed.

I called for my ccw appointment last week to the local sheriff office....I have an initial interview scheduled for March of 2016 then after that and with my review of my "good cause" statement (self defense by itself is not an accepted good cause) and all subsequent qualifications/training and interviews....I may have my ccw by May or June of 2016....gotta love Commiefornia

Surely there are ways to find 'good cause' statements that fit the requirements.

Good luck with that left-leaning, tree-hugging liberal state of California.
