From what I hear, extramarital relationships are part of the culture there, almost to be expected. I seem to remember when Clinton got into trouble, there were some news stories interviewing French citizens who were mainly in awe that it was even a news story, since many of them could identify the mistress of their then president by name. That kind of thing was no big deal.

Regardless, it is my impression that those people are pretty much as arrogant as they come, and have quite the superior attitude toward most Americans, and their government has been less than helpful to ours in recent years. Seems they have a very short memory of what we did for them during WWII. Ironically, I have a much better opinion of Germany and the German people today than France and the French, except that the German government has pretty much ruined their country with this diversity BS, but then the same thing has happened to France too, and most of Europe. Parie is not Parie anymore.

Ahh yes, the pompous french attitude!

Tell me how someone can be french if they have never stepped foot in france? If an ethnically native american person is raised from childhood by another race are they native american? Yes, ethnically of course. But canadians from quebec claiming they are "french" is completely different as many don't even have a french ethnic background.

If my cat looks and acts a lot like a bobcat does that mean it isn't a maine coon but a bobcat?

I am genuinely interested in how you square this conundrum.

I mean shoot, modern day southerners would have more ground to stand on than a quebecan if they called themselves a confederate citizen even though they live in the usa!!

There is no france in canada.

Side note- I could be wrong, but some ppl from Quebec wanted to separate from Canada a while back...

As I grew up, we always called “them” French, I had a neighbor who was from Montreal, she identified as French.. so yes they is Canadians, but they’re French Canadians, and they wanted out of Canada so they can be French.
Idk... there’s some stupid logic

Kinda like how ppl say Christopher Columbus discovered America.

True- there is no France in Canada, and there is no I in team, but they’re are 2 “i”s in syphilis..

It's very simple we are labeled French not mostly because of our speaking language compared to the rest of Canada. Quebec is the only French speaking province in the country. We usually have different views and ways than the English Canadians from other provinces because of our heritage. Then add the fact that we abide to French/France laws of the old continent with Federal laws compared to the rest of the country with English/Federal/England laws.

Why did Quebec want to separate? I obviously don't know the details as I was too young but it involved politics but the main reason from what I heard from teachers the English provinces got way more funding from the federal than us. Our taxes funded more of the rest of Canada than us. It's surely more complex than what I just said and this is just a glimpse of the bigger picture.
