Default found in the walls

seen this post on ct, I figure framers aint the only ones who have opened a wall and found something in there.

I once found a bunch of old farmers newspapers dating back to 1902. 7 mens long sleeve cotton button up shirts for .25 cents
The newest horse drawn combines were like 125.00

It appears that many folks in the country here have actually insulated their walls with newspapers. You can tell to the day when it was built.Other than that,no treasures,no nothing.

Well, someday, someone will find a hammer, a couple of flashlights, and a few other tools with my name on them which I know I left in ceilings right before they came in and patched the drywall!! In most cases, I remembered it right after they started mudding the patch, and didn't have the heart to ask them to open it up!

I sign and date my work on every job. Maybe somebody will see it a long time from now.

There's always intersting writing on the walls in crawlspaces of high schools.

I never found anything cool in a wall. We were doing sewer, water, and drainage at what was an auto shop. We were pulling up car parts left and right. Axles, brake pads, old clutches, pullies, motors, you name it. We actually found what seemed to be a complete Chevy something or other down there. We didn't try to pull the whole car out, just trenched through the middle of it . Also found an full old waste oil tank. The owner wanted us to just bury it and forget we ever saw it, he got a little angry when we told him we couldn't do that especially since the site was 200ft from a pond that lead into the ocean.

Default I found

I found little mouse skeletons before. In one house I found a drywall knife in the wall I was cutting.

Years ago I was replacing stacks in a high school that were behind the lockers. the lockers were removed and I noticed some change so my cheep a$$ bent down to pick it up. The school was 70+ years old. Alot of silver coins and wheat pennies. I then was always there when the lockers were to be removed.
